Driven by a passion for addressing the challenges faced by new clinicians in the field and organizations striving for culturally responsive programs. This organization is responsive to the needs of her community with a business tagline, Lead Clinically. The organization provides providing CE training to professionals, internship opportunities to students, and clinical supervision to registered interns. Finally, the organization offers outpatient therapy through a Free Therapy Campaign, granting up to 5 complimentary sessions to individuals lacking insurance coverage or facing high insurance deductibles.

Dr. Brittany Peters is a distinguished mental health professional with a career spanning over 17 years. Her areas of expertise include clinical practice, problem-solving courts, with a specialized focus on community mental health. Presently, Dr. Brittany works as a Behavioral Health Consultant for Child welfare-involved families and previously served as the Vice President of Behavioral Health for a child welfare and behavioral health organization. She is the owner and Clinical Director for the Center for Wellness & Clinical Development, and teaches collegiate courses for two major universities.
In her doctoral research, Dr. Brittany concentrated on Family Drug Treatment Courts and evaluating the efficacy of treatment available through these programs in reducing substance misuse disorders among participants. Dr. Brittany is a licensed clinical social worker certified in addictions, with a keen focus on improving clinical services in the community by training and developing counselors and other professionals.
Additionally, Dr. Brittany is actively involved in her community and serves on numerous boards and committees focusing on substance misuse, child welfare, and community mental health at both local and state levels. She is a member of the Statewide Dependency Court Improvement Panel (DCIP), serves as the current President of the Board of Directors for the National Alliance on Mental Illness Pinellas(NAMI), and is a board member for the Pinellas Black Health Equity Alliance (BHEA), among many other community organizations.
Dr. Brittany earned her BSW and MSW from Florida State University and her Doctor of Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She is a native Floridian, born and raised in Tallahassee, FL, and a proud dog mom to one miniature schnauzer named Herschel.

I also have a background in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, and navigating social relationships. My work with underprivileged youth has equipped me with the skills to support those facing significant life challenges. I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for all clients, providing resilience, and promoting mental well-being.
